The synthesis, crystallographic analysis and full characterization of the Cu(i) complex-functionalized Anderson polyoxomolybdate anions ( n Bu 4 N)[MMo 6 O 18 ((OCH 2 ) 3 CNCH(C 47 H 37 N 2 P 2 OCu) 2 )] (M = Mn 3+ , Fe 3+ , Co 3+ ) is reported. For the first time, direct crystallographic evidence for the covalent attachment of a photoactive metal complex to an organo-functionalized polyoxometalate is obtained.
