Political Bias Classifier (Cultural and Socioeconomic). Schulz, K. May, 2022.
Paper abstract bibtex \textlessp\textgreaterThis service classifies the political bias of a German text in 2 dimensions: cultural and socioeconomic. It uses two \textlessa href="https://huggingface.co/bert-base-german-cased" target="_blank"\textgreaterGerman BERT models\textless/a\textgreater as binary text classifiers, each of them being responsible for one of the two dimensions. The results are given as probabilities: Culturally speaking, how conservative is the text? Socioeconomically speaking, how liberal is the text?\textless/p\textgreater\textlessp\textgreaterThe extremes of the respective dimensions are modeled according to German political parties, namely “Die Grünen” (culturally progressive) vs. “AfD” (culturally conservative) and “Die Linke” (socioeconomically socialist) vs. “FDP” (socioeconomically liberal).\textless/p\textgreater
