In this paper a numerical study of the possibility of creating a monitoring system of structures, made of polymer composite materials on the basis of vibration approaches, is provided. The study of modes of vibration, occurring at the appearance of delamination in a structure, has been performed. In the numerical model of the plate, the study of the possibility of vibration excitation in the zone of delamination has been carried out, allowing to detect the presence and location of the defect. The estimation of the parameters, affecting the effectiveness of the application of this approach, has been also discussed.
