In this article a scale of sense of place is constructed in order to organize the literature and distinguish among different levels of intensity of ‘sense of place’. This scale is tested empirically among Jewish students in Toronto in regard to three levels of ‘sense of place’: metro Toronto, the province of Ontario, and the nation-state of Canada.
