Period and Damping Values of actual buildings at rather high amplitude levels are estimated from the strong-motion seismograph recors using the method based on the power spectral density analysis. Also, these structural parameters of the buildings at minute amplitudes are evaluated by the same procedure from the response records in ordinary times. Both results are then compared, and it is shown that an increase in vibration amplitude of about 1000 times produces approximately a 20% increase in the period on an average. A similar trend is also found for the damping values of the buildings
