Water in the loblolly pine ecosystem - Eastern region. Van Lear, D. Symposium on the loblolly pine ecosystems (East region), 1982. Paper abstract bibtex The hydrologic cycle in the loblolly pine ecosystem east of the Mississippi River is discussed with special reference to the effects of silvicultural practices and species conversion on quality and quantity of water yield, storm, runoff, and erosion. The conclusion reached is that adverse impacts of forestry activities can be minimized through careful planning and supervision of operations.
