The article presents the author's narrative of how graphic novels and manga were classified as archival material in the Cleveland Public Library in Ohio. The author describes her functions as a young adult librarian, which include providing outreach services for teenagers by offering programs and conducting school visits. The graphic novel collection in the library includes titles by renowned writers such as Will Eisner, Frank Miller and Craig Thompson. The author aims to increase young adult circulation by building an extensive graphic novel collection.
