Priorities for taxonomic studies of Indian Convolvulaceae. Wood, J. R., Muñoz-Rodríguez, P., & Scotland, R. W. Journal of Economic and Taxonomic Botany, 46(1-2):5–14, 2022. Paper abstract bibtex 2 downloads The current status of taxonomic studies of Indian Convolvulaceae is reviewed. The family is well-represented in the Indian subcontinent and has been the subject of study for several hundred years. A list of genera and a provisional checklist of species recorded from India are provided. It is argued that currently there is a need to combine molecular studies with traditional morphological research and to develop research between institutions both nationally and internationally. The paper indicates some of the challenges faced by researchers on Indian Convolvulaceae while drawing attention to the many opportunities that remain for research work at species and generic levels and in related fields, including conservation
