Cyber spirituality: Facebook, Twitter, and the adolescent quest for connection [link]Paper  doi  abstract   bibtex
The authors reflect on the effect of social networking sites to the spiritual development of adolescents. They mention that Facebook activity among adolescents and parents and other adults helps in forming the spiritual lives of young people, which is a type of cyber spirituality. They also point out that the Facebook phenomenon can become a form of pseudo-spirituality which is an authentic spirituality that can be destructive.
